On April 2, video surfaced of DaBaby walking up to a club in Dallas following his concert on the ‘Be More Grateful Tour.’ The video showed two men trying to grab his attention and gift him a painting of two of his young daughters.
DaBaby obliged in taking a gander at the painting, stopping in his tracks for a few seconds. However, he ultimately decided to keep walking without mentioning a word to the Dallas-based artist, known online as Bruce White Jr.
Following the awkward encounter, White Jr. ended up sharing the full painting on his Instagram account. He wrote:
“Here’s the viral painting guys 😂 ion see nothing wrong wit it! 😂🤷🏿♂️ but hey s/o to @dababy & his beautiful family! God bless, the mission continues! 🏄🏿♂️🎨🏆 @bwhitecreations #2026 #dallas #dallasart #dallastattoo #texasart.”
In White Jr.’s carousel post, he showed off two angles of the whole painting. In a third and fourth swipe, he zoomed in to show off the details of each child’s face. On the fifth swipe, White Jr. posted the inspiration photo, showing the full image of DaBaby’s two young daughters holding one another.

DaBaby Explains Why He Rejected Man Outside Nightclub Trying To Gift Him A Painting Of 2 Daughters
In the comments of White Jr.’s post, several social users praised his talent and great work. However, others were more critical — including DaBaby. On Saturday (April 4), the rapper hopped in the comments and wrote:
“You still got my daughters on yo page as a grown man after I made it clear I ain’t comfortable with that. Steady playing for this online attention. So when God put me back in front of you ima show you how serious I am about my daughters. Best advice I can give you, get my children off yo page & keep doing what you gifted at doing. Using My kids ain’t the route to go if you wanna go viral, that’s the route to go if you wanna get hurt. This a father talking not a rapper.”
DaBaby also took to his Instagram Story to continue explaining why he rejected White Jr.’s painting, captioning the post “Simple as that.” In the video, he said:
“Y’all starting to get on my motherf***ing nerves talking about buddy with this painting of two of my daughters that he presented to me outside of a nightclub. First and foremost, I’m not the type of father that’s into grown a** men discussing my daughters, painting pictures of my daughters, taking pictures of my kids. I don’t play like that. If you play like that, to each his own. You see what I’m saying? More power to you. Send that n***a a picture of your daughters and let that n***a paint them, and then show him some appreciation. Number two, I’m not accepting no painting of my daughters outside of nightclub. Number three, [if] you feel a way about the principals that I stand on with my kids and how far I go to protect them, that ain’t none of my concern. ‘Be More Grateful Tour,’ let’s go.”
