Dan Fogelman knows better than to keep audiences waiting, and a new Paradise update proves Season 3 is no exception. The creator just made headlines with a move that signals Paradise has more surprises in store, on or off the screen.
Paradise Season 3 filming update is good news for its release date
Hulu’s hit post-apocalyptic thriller Paradise is wasting no time. Creator Dan Fogelman confirmed Season 3 is officially in production on April 7, just eight days after the Season 2 finale aired on March 30. The official Paradise account on X announced: “Almost like we never left. PARADISE Season 3 is officially in production.”
Fogelman posted a director’s monitor grab on Instagram, captioning it “S3. Let’s go.” The image showed Sterling K. Brown’s Xavier and Enuka Okuma’s Teri, whose character was presumed dead in Season 1. Okuma was upgraded to a series regular for Season 2. The unfamiliar set suggests the story is heading somewhere new in Season 3.
The rapid production turnaround strongly suggests a 2027 release, likely in the first half of the year. Season 1 began filming in February 2024 and premiered on January 26, 2025. Season 2 started filming in March 2025 and premiered on February 23, 2026, following a near-identical timeline.
Executive producer and writer John Hoberg, who co-wrote the Season 2 finale, confirmed the team has a clear endpoint planned for Season 3. He told The Hollywood Reporter: “We feel really good about it. It’s something we’ve all been excited about for a very long time.” Hoberg added: “It may not go where you guess or what you think, but I think it’s going to be satisfying in where it takes you.”
Set in a bunker town in Colorado three years after an unspecified doomsday event, Paradise follows special agent Xavier Collins protecting US President Cal Bradford. Both seasons hold Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics’ scores of 86% and 91%, respectively.
Paradise Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
