An Ohio woman is facing multiple charges after she allegedly caused a disturbance at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport by spraying employees and police with a fire extinguisher.
The suspect, Jennifer Kaye Holder, 27, was reportedly dining at a Buffalo Wild Wings inside the airport when the situation escalated.
According to New York Post, Holder allegedly refused to pay for her meal, prompting staff to confront her about the bill around 9:30 p.m. on Concourse D. Videos shared on social media show Holder arguing with restaurant staff, insisting that someone else had already paid for her food.
Airport officials say the situation intensified when Holder began acting erratically and moved toward secured areas of the airport. Authorities also reported that she attempted to open a restricted security door.
Fire Extinguisher Used During Confrontation
According to reports, Holder was later seen holding a fire extinguisher during the incident.
When airport employees attempted to stop her from approaching other passengers, one worker was sprayed from behind. Authorities say she also sprayed airport security officers during the confrontation.
Flight attendants nearby reported respiratory discomfort after exposure to the extinguisher discharge.
Woman Taken Into Custody Facing Multiple Charges
Holder was eventually taken into custody and transported to Clayton County Jail.
Police say she was combative while being arrested and now faces multiple charges, including three counts of simple battery, obstructing law enforcement officers, and two counts of simple assault.
