The rights to a $25 million lawsuit against Erika Jayne were just sold to LHA Land LLC for $2 million.
As Erika, 54, was seen opening up about the potential outcome of the case to Andy Cohen, 57, on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, a court approved the sale in a Los Angeles bankruptcy court on Thursday.
According to legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail on April 26, Trustee Elissa D. Miller was granted clearance to unload the case as LHA Land LLC embarked on its own journey to recoup the $25 million that Erika’s estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, 86, is accused of feeding her and her business — rather than his deserving clients who were awarded settlements through his since-defunct law firm, Girardi Keese.
In response to the court’s ruling, attorney Ronald Richards told the Daily Mail that he was “satisfied” with the decision.
“I’ve spent five years pursuing Erika Girardi to bring justice to the victims of her husband’s fraud,” he said. “I am satisfied that those efforts have resulted in creating a value of $2 million to the trustees. Hopefully that money will go to reimburse the victims who lost their hard-earned settlements as a result of her husband’s fraudulent behavior.”
As RHOBH fans will recall, Thomas, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2021, was found guilty of wire fraud in 2024 after allegedly stealing more than $15 million from former clients. Then, in 2025, he was sentenced to over seven years in prison.
As for Erika’s reunion comments, she explained what a loss may look like for her.
“You can file for bankruptcy, or you can fight it out in court,” she shared. “You can go to trial, you can cut a deal, you can die in the streets. I have no idea.”
Erika was also asked what her number one question to Thomas would be, and replied, “Why?”
“Why did he throw me out like that?” she wondered. “If you think about it, I’m in an almost impossible situation. I’m swimming under all of these lawsuits.”
