The online sensation’s father, Monty Lopez, can’t get enough of legal wars, as he has drawn a new legal battle line with his estranged wife, Kaitlyn Lopez. This comes shortly after he was in the headlines for possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

Rae’s father, Monty Lopez, has shed new light on his ongoing dealings with the authorities with claims about his estranged wife, Kaitlyn Nicole Lopez. He alleges that she had a gun on her during their recent altercation that landed him in police custody.
Court documents show that Lopez is now requesting that the court grant him a protection order against his wife after their recent scuffle, where she pulled out a gun and threatened to use it. The legal documents obtained by TMZ also show further claims about Kailyn’s past behavior in their months-long relationship.
The TikTok sensation’s father alleged that this was not the first time his estranged lover had been violent towards him. He claims that she had physically attacked him multiple times during their relationship. This time, during their heated brawl, Kaitlyn allegedly slapped and shoved her husband before telling him she had a gun, and it was not for her.
The Court Favors Monty Lopez’s Request For A Restraining Order
The law has sided with Lopez this time, signing off on the protection order. He asked for exclusive use of their home and support from his estranged lover. The restraining order, in full effect, requires that she vacate the home and stay 100 yards away from Lopez.
The former lovers who said “I do” in a Vegas ceremony in October 2025 are scheduled to have their day in court next month. Lopez seems confident in his claims as he states that Kaitlyn’s parents will back up his claims about the gun. He also disclosed that his estranged wife has issues with her parents, but did not state the reason for their said issues.
Lopez may have taken a step into success with this case, but his legal battles are far from over. In case you missed it, the influencer’s dad climbed up the ladder of legal woes after the cops were called to his Louisiana residence on April 23 over a mental health complaint.
The Singer’s Dad Is Also Facing A Felony Charge
On April 28, Lopez got another visit from the authorities, but this time, he had to come along for a ride. He was arrested for a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. The reports show that the media personality’s father had a large amount of marijuana in his possession that did not go unnoticed.
The Blast covered the story in an earlier release, sharing that Lopez was booked on a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Photos showed that he posed for his mugshot in an orange shirt and was sent behind bars.
This is not the father of four’s first felony charge. He was arrested on July 27, 2025, for a Felony Obscenity and Sex Crime based on an incident that allegedly took place in August 2024 at a Walgreens in Lafayette, Louisiana. He pleaded not guilty to the charges of intentionally exposing his genitals in a public place with offensive intent during his arraignment last September.
The Entertainer’s Parents Previously Battled It Out In Court
Rae’s dad is no stranger to court proceedings, and neither is her mom, Sheri Easterling, who filed for divorce and requested sole custody of their youngest son, Lucas. She also requested for child support and supervised visits for her ex-husband, claiming he was physically abusive during their marriage in her filing.
Easterling also requested that Lopez undergo DNA testing to determine if he is indeed the father of Lucas. The influencer’s father agreed to the test, and a Louisiana judge signed off on the agreement.
The Blast reported that the judge also ruled that Rae’s mother has to cover the expenses for the test costs until the outcome is determined. She included other claims in her petition, stating that her marriage to Lopez had been abusive and that he had verbally degraded her in the past.
Easterling did not make empty claims; she cited several instances where her ex-husband had allegedly abused her or the children, including Rae. She also noted, according to court documents, that he had referred to her as “worthless trash, “telling her that “no one f-cking likes her,” during their years together.

Rae’s parents had a rocky relationship, but still strived to make it work. They first got married in 2004, then got divorced in 2017. A year later, they rekindled their love and tied the knot again, but after allegations that Lopez had a five-month affair with a 25-year-old woman identified as Renée Ash came to light, Easterling pulled the plug on the union for good.
Ash revealed in 2022 that she had an affair with the online sensation’s father, who allegedly “misled [her] on his marriage.” She claimed that he told her his marriage to Easterling was over when it was not even promising her that they “were going to be together and have babies together.”
The Blast reported that Ash disclosed details about the affair in an interview, stating that Lopez had introduced her to his family, making her believe they had something real. She reportedly ended things with the father of four after she found out that he was hitting on other girls younger than her, both physically and online.
Ash apologized to Rae, her mom, and her brothers for the damage her actions may have caused their family, noting that they were not intentionally carried out to wreck their home. The then-25-year-old also released screenshots of her conversations with Lopez to back up her claims about their relationship.
