A new spy thriller is bringing together Sebastian Stan and Ana de Armas, with the project now revealing its first key details. Directed by Felipe Gálvez, the film draws from a real-world legal case and explores events unfolding behind the scenes. The latest updates have garnered strong anticipation among fans.

Sebastian Stan and Ana de Armas to headline thriller Impunity

Sebastian Stan and Ana de Armas are set to lead Impunity, a new espionage drama from Chilean filmmaker Felipe Gálvez. The project will see both actors take on leading roles as well as serve as executive producers. The supporting cast includes Alfredo Castro, Antonia Zegers, and Alejandro Goic, as reported by Variety.

Set in 1998, the film is built around the arrest of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in London, years after leaving office. The story follows two separate operations taking place behind the scenes, involving a mercenary recruited by an NGO and a Chilean envoy.

As events progress, both become caught in a series of conspiracies, betrayals, and political developments. This landmark international legal case that questioned whether a former head of state could be tried beyond his own country.

The screenplay is based on 38 Londres Street by Philippe Sands, which examines one of the most significant international criminal cases. Director Gálvez has said, “With ‘Impunity’ I want to explore the pages erased from our history. Using the language of the spy genre, not to celebrate conspiracies, but to reveal how justice itself can be negotiated, delayed, and turned into spectacle.”

Production is taking place across multiple international locations, including Chile, Spain, and the United Kingdom, with dialogue in both English and Spanish. Several production companies from Europe and Latin America are involved. The film does not yet have a confirmed release date.
