Could there be trouble in paradise for Summer House stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula?
Over the weekend, West attended a wedding without his current girlfriend in tow.
TMZ obtained footage of West at the wedding, and he was seen chatting it up with a woman at the reception.
While there has been a ton of speculation online as to whether West and Amanda are still together or not, this didn’t help matters, as West was seen patting the random woman on her behind and giving her a kiss on her forehead.
Sources who spoke to TMZ insisted that the event was simply a gathering of friends and had many people from West’s inner circle. They said that all of the people there were West’s friends, and this was a group celebration, not anything romantic between him and the woman in the clip.
The insiders who spoke to the outlet also insisted that West and Amanda are very much still together and that nothing is going on outside of their relationship.
As for why Amanda wasn’t present at the event, DeuxMoi obtained an interesting tip.
“In an April deuxmoi.world article, where we attempted to outline the relationship timeline between Summer House‘s West Wilson and Amanda Batula, we mentioned that West had asked the bride & groom (his friends) if Amanda could join as his plus-one to their wedding,” they wrote alongside the above post.
“We’ve now learned that his plus-one was allegedly rescinded amid recent events surrounding the couple,” they added. “We assume this is the wedding sources had referred to back in March, and the same wedding he attended this weekend in South Carolina. Separately, sources claim that West and Amanda are still together. Meanwhile, Amanda spent the weekend with friends and family in NYC & Pennsylvania (as pictured above).”
While West was away for the weekend, TMZ noted Amanda was grabbing drinks with a friend at a bar in New York City on Friday.
Sources noted that she and her friend seemed very focused on whatever they were talking about, not noticing the busy, happy hour crowd around them.
Amanda and West officially confirmed their relationship on March 31, rattling the Bravo universe.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” they wrote in a joint statement at the time.
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they added.
As for why they kept quiet for so long, they insisted they wanted to “take time to understand exactly what [they] were feeling.”
“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they elaborated. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
