Sleeping With Sirens treated New Yorkers to a surprise impromptu performance on a subway platform yesterday afternoon. Vocalist Kellin Quinn and guitarist Nick Martin played an acoustic version of the title track from their new album, An Ending in Itself, and a cover of “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls.
An Ending in Itself, their eighth studio album, was produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Circa Survive, Movements) after meeting the band for the first time for a writing session. “We all agreed to just come in and build without pretense,” Yip says. “In a few short hours, we wrote this song and had it roughly produced by the end of the day. Since then, we’ve become brothers, and everyone in the band has been a pillar in my daily life.”
