Former NFL star and Hall of Famer Terrell Owens is accusing his former manager of over 15 years, Heather Mesalam, of stealing from him.

On Sunday afternoon (May 17), T.O. took to his Instagram account and blasted his manager, whom he has since fired. He shared a lengthy caption with a few slides. He included photos of him and Mesalam, along with an accounting of his bills that she allegedly emailed to him. Owens also shared a screenrecording of their alleged texts.
In his caption, he began, “A PERSON CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH!.” He continued to call out Mesalam as a “liar and a thief,” and demanded she “be accountable for it!”
Owens acknowledged that he doesn’t speak out much, but today he had time and was going to use his voice. After debating on taking his issue with Mesalam to the internet, he settled on doing it. He explained that if it were him in the wrong, his name would be plastered everywhere, without a doubt.

Owens’ full caption read:

When you’re managing someone’s affairs and getting paid to do it, you have to be accountable for it! I haven’t always used my voice when I should but I GOT TIME TODAY. I struggled with whether I should post or not because of the many questions I would receive of what and/or why, but with so many people committing suicide and leaving loved ones behind and leaving their families of trying to figure out why.
This IS Why?! Because if “I”had stolen from someone, l’d be ALL OVER the news, media, talking heads at @espn would be having a field day with it along with blogs where my reputation and character would be questioned and destroyed ruining business opportunities and relationships.
With the recent deaths of football players by suicide and for my own mental sanity I need to get this off my chest. Heather Mesalam (@mezchick), it’s people like you that think that you can just steal from me and think that you’re going to get away with it.
Trust me, with ALL that l’ve been through with former agents like Drew and Jason Rosenhaus, the financial advisor Jeff Rubin that they referred me to upon signing with them where they mismanaged football earnings, paying extraordinary child support payments and more, I PRAY A THAT THE DEVIL DON’T TRICK ME AND GIVE IN. MAMA, I’m gonna be alright. WE are gonna be alright. Don’t stress yourself worrying about me. It’s getting handled.
It’s stuff like this that people don’t see and may consider small but it’s what triggers us as athletes and those that have committed suicide in what some call, a selfish act. I’m posting this because @mezchick has handled my business affairs for 15+ years and I discovered on last Oct 3rd that she had stolen from me. The video screenshot puts everything in perspective.
