Why There Was No New Late Show with Stephen Colbert Episode Last Night?

Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Acolyte and it teases more of the mysterious Sith Lord who finds himself face to face with the main character Mae (Amandla Steinberg).

The villain also says in the new trailer: “The Jedi live in a dream. But, an acolyte is the dream.” The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland previously shared how the story will explore who “The Acolyte” is, and their connection to the Jedi and Sith.

She said: “You will discover it when you’re watching the show. It will be revealed. One thing to know about the show is that we’ve been talking about it as a mystery thriller. It is a serialized story, so each episode gives you more information about the story.”

The Acolyte “will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.” The High Republic is set 100 years before the Skywalker Saga begins.

Steinberg plays a former Padawan and dangerous warrior who is hunting down and killing Jedi. In the story, “An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg).

“As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems….”

The series also stars Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae stars as Jedi Master Sol, Manny Jacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margarita Levieva, Joonas Suotamo, and Amy Tsang.

It’s set to premiere on June 4, 2024, on Disney+.
