When Tiësto spun Hedex’s “MHITR (Semi-Automatic)” at Ultra Music Festival 2023, little did the rave community know it was witnessing the advent of something special.

In a seismic fusion of talent, the Dutch dance music icon has teamed up with Hedex and Basslayerz for a new single, “Click Click Click,” a track destined to once more keep drum & bass burning bright on mainstages throughout the 2024 festival season.

In true Hedex fashion, “Click Click Click” is a sonic tour de force anchored by the EDM.com Class Of 2024 producer’s signature horn-driven melodies. Instantly grabbing listeners’ attention, the track’s barking vocal hooks add a raw edge that complements its rapid-fire synths.

The origin of the collaboration traces back to a pivotal moment in 2023. During his set on the mainstage at Ultra, Tiësto unexpectedly dropped Hedex’s “MHITR (Semi-Automatic),” one of EDM.com’s best song’s of the year. The crowd’s reaction was instantaneous and social media buzzed with excitement, marking a highly visible, viral moment for stateside drum & bass. The impromptu showcase highlighted the genre’s rising influence in the US and set the stage for what would become a monumental year for its growth.

“Click Click Click” is emblematic of that surge, demonstrating the genre’s versatility and its ability to unite different styles and influences. The song is both a testament to the individual talents of its producers and to the collaborative spirit driving drum & bass forward.

Listen to “Click Click Click,” out now on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom imprint, below.
