Zahara Jolie-Pitt had a blast dancing with her sorority sisters at the recent Welcome Back Jam at Spelman College.
In a TikTok video posted on Aug. 22, Zahara, the 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, joined her Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) sisters in a lively performance for a cheering crowd at the fun event. Wearing a green tank top and denim shorts, Zahara showcased an energetic hair flip with style and precision, shimmying her hips with flair in unison with the group. Following the spirited hair shake, the group synchronized their arm movements as they danced on the grass, captivating the audience with their vibrant display.
Fans of the 19-year-old Spelman College student couldn’t get enough of her amazing dance moves in the comments section.
“The excitement that I felt when I see Zahara!! Go ahead and live your best college life girl yaaas,” one TikTok user wrote.
Another netizen commented, “Zahara girl you better stroll!”
A third fan penned, “Go Zahara! Show out!”
Zahara became an AKA in 2023.
As previously reported, Zahara officially joined the AKA sorority at Spelman College in 2023. At 18, she made a memorable entrance during the AKA neophyte probate show where she was captured proudly introducing herself among her new sorors, dressed in black and adorned with pearls to signify her new membership. The Awasa, Ethiopia, native celebrated with a big hair shake, similar to the one seen in the Welcome Back Jam video.
Some say the unique move is a subtle nod to her Ethiopian heritage, sharing close roots with the traditional Ethiopian Shoa Oromo dance, which is also marked by quick, fast and sharp head movements. Zahara was accepted into Spelman in 2022, however her major remains unclear.

What is AKA?
AKA is a historically Black sorority founded on Jan. 15, 1908. It started at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and is the first sorority established by African American women. It it also part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), also known as the Divine Nine.
AKA’s mission is to promote scholarship, service, and sisterhood among its members. The sorority focuses on community service, education, and advocacy, with various programs aimed at addressing social issues and supporting underserved communities. Its members are known for their commitment to leadership, empowerment and philanthropy.
Zahara’s sorority boasts a roster of distinguished Black women, including Coretta Scott King, a civil rights activist and the wife of Martin Luther King Jr.; Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States and former U.S. Senator as well as Rosa Parks, an iconic figure in the Civil Rights Movement.
