Sean Ono Lennon, Les Claypool Talk Songwriting Partnership, New Album

In a time where electronic music is often defined by boundaries and stylistic labels, LSZEE’s debut album is a bold showcase of unshackled creativity.

Together, CloZee and LSDREAM have crafted a true bass music odyssey. Spanning 13 songs, their self-titled LSZEE album feels like a journey through a dreamscape, where shimmering melodies meet thunderous low-end energy. From their meditative moments to earth-shattering basslines, each track feels like a glimpse into an alternate reality.

The album immediately pulls us into its vastness with “EMPYRE,” a cinematic opener that soars on echoing falsettos and sweeping synths. The track sets the tone for what’s to come—an album brimming with both beauty and intensity, seamlessly balancing softer, more intimate moments with the powerful moments of catharsis that bass music fans crave.

Throughout the album, LSZEE masterfully incorporate elements of world music into its fabric. “NIGHTHAWK” showcases intricate hand percussion and chant-like vocals—two signatures of CloZee—that transport listeners to a far-flung place under the stars. The similarly dynamic arrangements of tracks like “CLOUD10” tap into something primal, offering a deep, spiritual resonance that feels grounded despite its otherworldly production.

With two sold-out shows in early October at Red Rocks and an upcoming performance at Brooklyn Mirage, CloZee and LSDREAM are a collaborative force that have only just begun to gather steam. Check out their debut album as LSZEE below and find it streaming platforms here.
