The final U.S. Election results are in: President-elect Donald Trump has won the final state of Arizona, sweeping all seven swing states, and securing a total of 312 electoral votes.

On Saturday evening (November 9), NBC News projected Donald Trump as the winner of Arizona, the final state to be called in the 2024 US presidential election. After winning the longtime GOP state in 2016, then losing it in 2020 to current president Joe Biden, Trump recaptured Arizona in 2024, gaining 11 electoral votes.
As we previously reported, on Wednesday (November 6), former President Donald Trump was officially elected as the 47th president of the United States over Vice President Kamala Harris after securing a number of states, including swing states Georgia and Pennsylvania.

With Saturday evening’s election results update, including Arizona’s win, Donald Trump has secured 11 more electoral votes, garnering a total of 312 electoral votes. His opponent, VP Harris, only garnered 226 electoral votes. By winning Arizona, Donald Trump has also swept up all seven swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
According to Fox News, before Biden won Arizona in 2020, Republicans had the state every year since 1996. In this election, immigration was arguably the most highly important issue in the state, as it shares a border with Mexico. With the latest election results update revealing Trump winning Arizona — which is home to the fourth largest population of Hispanic voters — he has reversed the Blue trend in recent years.

Throughout his campaign, Trump heavily promised to secure the border, add more border security, and enforce criminal consequences on illegal immigrants. He pledged mass deportations and promoted hiring an additional 10,000 border agents to patrol the U.S.-Mexico border. He also promised to use some of the military budget for border funding.
Since being named the President-elect, Donald Trump has already appointed his White House Chief of Staff. Late Thursday (November 7), Trump announced that Susie Wiles, a longtime GOP operative and Trump’s campaign manager, would be his White House Chief of Staff, making her the first-ever female to hold the position.

In a statement, Donald Trump said, “Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns. Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected.”
Trump added, “Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again. It is a well-deserved honor to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.”
