Demi Lovato In Skimpy Miami Bikini Shamed For Looking ‘Plump’

Demi Lovato looked sensational as she bronzed her fit and curvy body while chilling in Miami ahead of the global pandemic. In 2016 photos that are still live, the former Disney star flaunted her bombshell body in a strapless bikini while enjoying the East Coast sunshine, but she couldn’t escape the body shamers. When The Daily Mail published the photos, Demi was subject to a fair amount of praise, but some only seemed out to bully her. At the time of the photos, the 32-year-old was 23 years old. While one troll likened her to a “whale,” another called her “plump.” Fortunately, plenty of popular comments noted how healthy Demi looked, particularly given her history of eating disorder battles.

Popping with her golden tan, the “Confident” hitmaker looked the picture of health, flaunting her toned abs and legs as she flashed some curve. Going itty-bitty in her tube top, Demi rocked ruched, swirly fabrics on her bustier bikini, adding pops of pink and purple on her matching briefs.

Wrapping a towel around her waist in one image, Demi kneeled on the lounger, eventually lying on her back as she soaked up the sun. Fans also saw her enjoying a pool dip. Going makeup-free, Demi completed her beachy look with reflective metallic shades as she wore her hair tied back.

Topping replies with over 1,200 upvotes was a fan saying: “Beautiful healthy figure!” That said, remarks gaining fewer likes tormented the singer, who has documented her eating disorder battles as beginning as young as 9 years old.

In a particularly cruel response, one user said: “Looks like someone squished a medium build 5’7″ woman, down to the plump 5’3″ Demi…”

Demi Lovato went on to make 2019 headlines for the above photo, posing from a shallow, ocean-view pool while enjoying her Bora Bora travels. Braving a totally unedited shot, the brunette sizzled in an animal-print bikini, and she was totally okay with showing the cellulite mentioned in her caption.

“This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! I’m just literally soooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth – so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful ism but it’s just not me. This is what I got,” she told her Instagram followers.
