‘POSE’ star, Angelica Ross revealed that she has received an apology from Emma Roberts for being transphobic towards her on the set of American Horror Story: 1984 in 2019.
Ross, 42, who a trans actress revealed Thursday during an Instagram live how Emma treated her while being on the set. During the live Ross can be heard saying, “I’m standing in front of Emma, talking to her like this, and she’s in front of me, her back against the mirror. She goes, “John, Angelica‘s being mean.” Ross continued: “I know she’s not being for real. She’s just being whatever. And John is like, “OK, ladies, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work.” And she then looks at me and she goes, “Don’t you mean lady?” And she turns around like this and covers her mouth [with her shirt]. As we previously reported, Ross also called out Ryan Murphy for ghosting her after accepting her pitch for an all-Black female season of the show.

Now in a new tweet made by Ross it looks like her and Emma have smoothed things over. “Thank you @RobertsEmma for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally. I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform,” Ross tweeted out on Wednesday.
Ross gained widespread recognition for her role as Candy Ferocity in the FX television series “Pose.” The show, which ran from 2018 to 2021, was groundbreaking for its portrayal of transgender characters and the LGBTQ+ ballroom culture in New York City during the 1980s and 1990s. Apart from “Pose,” Angelica Ross has appeared in other television series and films. She has made appearances on shows like “American Horror Story” and “Claws.”Angelica Ross is a prominent advocate for transgender rights and equality. She uses her platform to raise awareness about issues facing the transgender community, including discrimination, healthcare access, and violence.
