Beyoncé Had The Pettiest Response For Las Vegas Sphere Owner

Beyoncé said it best — “You won’t break my soul.”

After receiving a cease and desist letter from James Dolan, the owner of the Las Vegas Sphere, Beyoncé, the queen of music and shade, responded in a petty way that only she can.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the latest legal drama surrounding Beyoncé, she recently received a cease and desist letter from Dolan after he became aware that she was using his venue in visuals for her ongoing “Cowboy Carter” tour.

“Beyoncé — many orders of magnitude larger than the Sphere venue — leans over, picks up the venue, and looms over it,” Kathleen McCarthy, a lawyer representing Dolan, wrote in a statement covered by The Blast.

McCarthy went on to say that Bey’s interlude has caused “significant speculation” that she would end her tour with a “Sphere residency.”

Consequently, Dolan and McCarthy asked the “JOLENE” singer to stop her “unauthorized use of SEG’s intellectual property” in her production.

And that’s exactly what she did. However, she couldn’t resist the chance to be slightly petty with her response.

On May 4th, during the third night of Bey’s current tour, the clip in question remained; however, instead of picking up the Sphere, the mother of three took hold of Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, where she will perform July 25 and 26.

Her production company, Parkwood Entertainment, also posted the short video reel on its Instagram account, writing, “What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG.”

Fans replied to the video and praised Beyoncé for her sense of humor and wit.

“Those petty ones can’t f-ck with me,” one user wrote, referencing a lyric in her song “YA YA.”

Someone else clearly agreed, writing, “Bey really said, ‘You want petty?’ Here’s petty.”

“PARKWOOD IS UNDEFEATED! TAKE THAT SPHERE,” a third fan commented.

Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour began on April 28 in California at the SoFi Stadium. In addition to her songs from her genre-bending eighth studio album, the 35x Grammy Award-winning artist also brought back several deep cuts and Billboard hits, including “Single Ladies” and “I’M THAT GIRL.”

But she wasn’t alone. Her younger sister, Rumi Carter, joined Beyoncé on stage as well, standing by her side during “PROTECTOR,” a track all about a mother’s unwavering love for their children.

In a previous interview, a fan who spent $700 on tickets to see Beyoncé’s highly publicized tour revealed they had a terrible experience once it was all said and done.

“It turned out to be a waste of money,” they said before referencing the sound quality and their obstructed view of the stage.

“I was confident I’d found two of the best seats in the house,” they said. “Not only was there gigantic scaffolding in front of me blocking half the stage, right next to it was some kind of huge box-shaped structure with people on top that blocked another chunk of my view.”

“I frantically checked my tickets again to see if there had been some mention of an obstructed view that I’d missed, [but] there wasn’t,” they added. “I felt completely bamboozled.”

But their view of the stage wasn’t the only problem they faced while at SoFi.

“The stadium speakers were pointed directly at our section, making each one of Beyoncé’s hits deafeningly loud and distorted,” they added. “I’m not trying to sound like the quintessential Karen that complains that the concert is too noisy, but the audio from my seat was so blown out that Bey sounded like she was wailing into a toddler’s plastic karaoke machine at full blast.”

They also mentioned how uncomfortable the temperature inside the stadium was, adding they would’ve been “warmer watching the show in an igloo.”

“I’m sure the sound quality would be better, too,” they quipped.
