Netflix is heading into the shadows of New York City’s glamorous, chaotic nightlife with Black Rabbit, a new limited series starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law. The high-stakes drama follows two brothers who find themselves caught between ambition, loyalty, and a dangerous past they can’t outrun.

Jude Law stars as Jake Friedken, the suave and driven owner of Black Rabbit, an exclusive lounge poised to be the crown jewel of New York’s social scene. Jake is at the height of his success—until the unexpected return of his brother, Vince, played by Jason Bateman, shakes his carefully curated world. Vince’s arrival brings old family tensions bubbling back to the surface, along with unresolved trauma that threatens not only their business, but their lives.

Set against the seductive and unforgiving backdrop of the city’s nightlife, Black Rabbit promises a gripping mix of emotional drama and psychological tension. The brothers’ bond—strained by the weight of past mistakes and present pressures—is at the heart of the story, as they’re pushed to their emotional and moral limits.

This marks a darker turn for both leads. Bateman, known for his controlled performances in shows like Ozark, steps into edgier territory as Vince, a man haunted by more than just regret. Law brings a polished intensity to Jake, portraying a character whose charm masks deep vulnerability.

Behind the scenes, Bateman also takes the director’s chair for part of the series, bringing his signature grounded tension to the visual storytelling. The eight-episode run is crafted to be tightly woven, with an escalating sense of danger as the story unfolds.

If the logline and cast are any indication, Black Rabbit will be more than just a nightlife thriller—it’s a story about family, identity, and the cost of ambition. With its premiere set for Thursday, September 18, this series is poised to become a major fall release for Netflix.

Brace yourself for emotional intensity, sleek style, and the kind of slow-burning suspense that lingers long after the credits roll.
