Social media is losing their minds after a fan threw a lime green sex toy onto the court during the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream Game on Tuesday night (July 29).

It all went down during the fourth quarter of the Valkyries-Dream game. at Gateway Center Arena. As the female athletes took to the court, a bright green object was chucked from the stands and onto the floor. The incident occurred with just a minute left in the game and the score tied at 75-75.
While some players from both teams showed concern over the thrown object, the officials allowed the game to continue. The game resumed with the Valkyries in possession of the ball. Once possession came to an end, officials briefly paused the game to address the wild incident.

During the abrupt halt to the game, the broadcast crew tried to determine what was happening down on the court. Meanwhile, the players, coaches, and fans were left stunned to learn that the object thrown was a lime green sex toy representing the male sex organ. Soon enough, the broadcast crew and fans at home discovered the object as the camera operator found it, and then proceeded to zoom in on it, uncensored.
After a minute of deliberation, a police officer collected the green sex toy. They had been courtside during the incident. The NSFW object was removed by the officer, who picked it up with a piece of cloth by a fan. An official soon came over the arena’s PA system. They warned fans that anyone who throws objects onto the court will be subject to ejection. The game continued and ended with the Valkyries winning 77-75.

Social media was quick to react. While taking to X, one user wrote, “Not gon’ lie, the cameraman might get packed up for showing the d*ldo on live television. THIS IS INSANE.” Another wrote, “Throwing a d*ldo on the court at a WNBA game is not amusing at ALL. Misogynistic Violence, really.”
Another user tweeted, “The d*ldo on the floor at the WNBA game is not funny to me. Like, I hate to ruin the ‘fun’… But that don’t seem creepy and assaulty, and overly freaked out, and dangerous to you?”
Another wrote, “Throwing a d*ldo at a WNBA game is diabolical.” Replying, one person wrote,” Y’all would hate Buffalo/Miami week in the NFL where Buffalo fans throw d*ldos in the end zone. Yearly tradition. Never this type of discourse, though.”
