Brandy And Monica Leaves Fans Confused After Brandy Walks Off Stage And Abruptly Ends ‘The Boy Is Mine’ Chicago Concert
On Saturday (October 18), the pair hit Chicago’s United Center for the first Chi-Town stop of their reunion tour. According to several videos from fans online, the night kicked off without a hitch and was full of energy, great vibes, and even greater vocals.
However, at one point during the night, Brandy, 46, stopped the show, mid-performance. While still on stage, she at first told production that the sound was off. After things failed to get better, she briskly exited stage right. Videos of her from the side stage show her walking straight to the production table. She then told the crowd, “Give me one second y’all I gotta get my s…” The lights turned off and she never returned.
Fans said Monica, 44, later came out to sing her solo tracks and address the crowd. However, the message was vague and she didn’t explain what happened. Fans said she performed the final songs by herself and she thanked everyone for coming out. The fans were sent home without hearing their duet, “The Boy Is Mine,” and there were no answers as to what happened to Brandy and if she was even okay.

Brandy Breaks Silence After Abruptly Walking Off Stage During Chicago Stop On ‘The Boy Is Mine’ Tour With Monica, Cites Production, Dehydration, And Fainting Issues
The “Have You Ever” singer broke her silence in an open letter on social media. She wrote:
“To my dear fans in Chicago: Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and-most importantly-your prayers. I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint, everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.
I still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling ok. With having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical, unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production, I really appreciate everyone’s best efforts.
I’m deeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support. I went from the arena to see a doctor nearby and have taken the proper precautions to help moving forward. Your understanding, patience, and unwavering belief mean the world to me. I look forward to returning to the stage-stronger and more grateful than ever-alongside my girl, Monica, tonight in Indianapolis. With all my love, Brandy.”
