William Lichter (played by Charlie Korsmo, who gained fame from Steven Speilberg’s “Hook”) goes over the rendezvous plan with his friends, named X-Philes 1 and 2 according to IMDB, before the party for kidnapping Mike Dexter, William’s arch nemesis, and popular jock at Huntington Hillside High School.
Not sure why but I love Jay Paulson’s delivery of his line “You could get…addicted.” It’s almost as if he was trying to channel someone from those PSA films in school about the dangers of drugs. I’ll bust it out every now and then and no one seems to get it.
Classic trip down memory lane and nostalgia watching this movie approaching my forties. A jumping off movie for a lot of actors as who went on to fame in the 2000s (Jason Segel, Jaime Pressly, Sean Patrick Thomas, Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, to name a few).
You could probably make a whole list of films about high school kids that spawned fame, but this is one that had a lot of up and coming stars in it.
