Moss’s attorney, Blake Ballin, recently called the case “unusual and complicated,” citing ongoing Department of Children’s Services investigations and cosmetology licensing questions. He argued that while Moss’s parenting decisions may have been “questionable,” they do not rise to criminal behavior. He also emphasized that the child remains in Moss’s custody.
