Futurama is set to return with another season on Hulu, and the release date for Season 14 has been revealed. This continues the show’s successful revival after its return in 2023. Along with the announcement, new details about the upcoming episodes and first-look images from the season were also unveiled.
Futurama Season 14 comes out in August
Futurama will return with a new batch of episodes later this year, as Hulu has scheduled Season 14 to debut on August 3, 2026. The platform confirmed that the animated comedy’s latest season will follow a weekly release pattern. New episodes are set to arrive every Monday on Hulu.
The release date announcement was accompanied by several newly revealed images teasing what audiences can expect from the upcoming season. The preview photos feature members of the Planet Express crew in another round of bizarre adventures. This includes scenes involving Dr. Zoidberg examining Professor Farnsworth and Bender appearing to be electrocuted.
In addition to the images, an official description for the season was unveiled, outlining several of the adventures awaiting the main characters. This includes storylines involving space pirates, synthetic meat operations, elaborate scams, and the reappearance of someone from Dr. Zoidberg’s past.
The animated series continues to be led creatively by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, who remain involved as executive producers. Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz also serves as the executive producers.
Season 14 arrives as part of Hulu’s continued revival of Futurama, which resumed production in 2023. Since its return, the platform has already produced three seasons as part of the revival. The decision to move forward with Season 14 was confirmed back in November 2023 following the strong streaming performance and positive critics response.
The show’s synopsis reads, “The adventures of a late-20th-century New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who, after being unwittingly cryogenically frozen for one thousand years, finds employment at Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery company in the retro-futuristic 31st century.”
