Lisa Hochstein and her ex-boyfriend Jody Glidden are no longer expected to face criminal charges over allegations that they spied on her ex-husband, Lenny Hochstein.
The Real Housewives of Miami star and Glidden were previously charged in Miami-Dade County with one count each of interception of communication after authorities alleged they recorded private conversations involving Lenny and others.
Lisa, 43, and Jody, 52, were arrested in April and both entered not guilty pleas.
Now, their attorneys say the case is coming to an end.
On Tuesday, May 19, defense attorneys Jayne Weintraub and Howard Srebnick told USA TODAY in a statement that they “have reached an agreement with prosecutors in this matter. All charges against Lisa Hochstein and Jody Glidden will be dismissed mid June without any admission of guilt or conviction.”
Online records show that Lisa and Jody were accepted into a felony pre-trial diversion program through The Advocacy Program, a Florida based private nonprofit justice agency.
According to the program’s website, participants must follow all conditions and remain “arrest-free.” Once the program is completed, “the State Attorney’s Office will drop its charge(s)” and the defendant “may be eligible to have the arrest record sealed and/or expunged.”
The charges stemmed from allegations made during Lisa’s messy and highly publicized divorce from Lenny Hochstein.
Lisa and Lenny split in 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The former couple share two children and spent years battling through a contentious divorce that played out both in court and on The Real Housewives of Miami.
According to the arrest warrant, Hochstein and Jody allegedly placed a listening device in Lenny’s car in 2023. The car had reportedly been borrowed by Lisa from her estranged husband while they were still in the middle of divorce proceedings.
Lenny, a Miami plastic surgeon, later discovered the device and reported it to police.
The warrant alleged that investigators found 98 recordings during the investigation, including one recording that allegedly captured Lisa and Jody speaking while hiding the recorder. Other recordings allegedly included Lenny’s private conversations.
The warrant also stated that investigators obtained evidence that in December 2022, Jody purchased two recording devices matching the ones allegedly found in the car.
Lisa and Lenny’s divorce has been one of the most talked about off camera storylines connected to RHOM, with their split, co-parenting issues, financial disputes, and new relationships all making headlines.
While the allegations were serious, Lisa and Jody’s attorneys are making it clear that the charges are expected to be dismissed without either of them admitting guilt or receiving a conviction.
For now, Lisa appears to be one step closer to putting another legal battle connected to her divorce drama behind her.
