Teresa Giudice Offers Cop “Family Business Cards”

Teresa Giudice appeared to pull a “Don’t you know who I am?” of sorts during a traffic stop back in April.

After a police officer in Riverdale, New Jersey, witnessed the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, 51, swerving in and out of lines during an evening drive on a highway, Teresa attempted to pass on her business cards to the cop, who informed her that they would not be necessary.

In body cam footage obtained by TMZ on October 9, the cop asks to see the driver’s license of Teresa, who in turn tells the man, “I have family business cards, too.”

“Okay, no, don’t worry about it,” the officer replies.

But despite being uninterested in Teresa’s business cards, the cop played nice, returning to her car after checking her license to inform her that he’d be giving her a warning rather than a ticket.

After learning she would not be getting a ticket for her driving, Teresa, who is in the midst of production on RHONJ season 14, expressed gratitude to the cop and explained that she typically does drive in the manner he saw.

“My father passed away and I always drive like that. That’s just the way I drive and my father said, ‘Don’t drive like that,’” she told the cop, who never revealed if he knew her from her long-running role on RHONJ.

While Teresa’s interaction with the police was quite friendly, her attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., was not too happy to see that the body cam footage of his client had been released and shared a statement with TMZ.

“There is no family business card. That is ridiculous. No such card exists or has ever existed. She was referring to a New Jersey State PBA card that was given to her by an acquaintance who is a law enforcement officer and issued her the card,” he explained. “The bigger issue here is why is a video of a woman being pulled over, who did absolutely nothing wrong, being released to the public more than five months after the actual motor vehicle stop happened.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in 2024.
