Lauren Manzo and her husband Vito Scalia are done.
The 35-year-old was, of course, a star for years on the Real Housewives of New Jersey with her mom Caroline Manzo. And now, Lauren is a newly-single woman.

On Monday, the US Sun unearthed divorce docs filed by Vito. The papers were first submitted to a New Jersey court way back on September 5 — so it has been simmering quietly for a while. In the docs, Scalia noted “irreconcilable differences.” Per that outlet, the docs stated in part:
“The parties have experienced irreconcilable differences for a period of at least six months which has caused the breakdown of their marriage and it is apparent that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”
Interestingly, Vito filed from the same Wayne, New Jersey address listed for Lauren in the docs. That’s the house in which he, Lauren, and the now-estranged couple’s six-year-old daughter Marchesa ‘Markie’ Scalia had been living since 2016. So, it’s unclear whether he or Lauren have departed the family home.
We bring up the housing detail because of this: Lauren just spoke out about the divorce, and her comments were really amicable. In a video published to Instagram on Tuesday, Manzo didn’t give a specific reason for the marriage ending, but she was very kind in her comments about Vito and Markie:
“By now you guys have seen the news that has broken. I just want to let you guys know that we’re all good. This has been done for a very long time. The last part of the process was filing. We were on the same page. This is something we did together. Vito and I love and respect each other, and we continue to move forward as a family. All that matters to us is that our daughter is happy and healthy.”
And she continued:
“Our privacy is important to us. We haven’t been on TV in seven years, which is why we did not feel the need for some dramatic announcement. We continue to move forward with love and respect for each other, and we will always be a family, and that’s it. It’s about our daughter, and her privacy, because she didn’t ask to be on TV. We did. So, we appreciate you guys, and I hope you have a great day.”

Well, there you go. This is as polite and cordial as you can expect in a situation like this. Still, divorce isn’t an easy thing in any context, so we are sending love and light to all!
