Funk Flex and Rick Ross really want to see Foxy Brown join Lola Brooke on stage at Hot 97’s first annual Winter Jam later this year.

On Tuesday night (November 14), both Lola and Rozay popped up on Flex’s Hot 97 radio show. While discussing the show that’s going down in Foxy and Lola’s hometown of Brooklyn next month, Flex noted he already spoke with the Ill Na Na rapper about the guest appearance and said it seems like it’s going to happen.

“I’ve already got confirmation. Foxy Brown feels like she’s gonna make it for the Lola Brooke set,” the famed DJ said, before Ross chimed in: “Foxy, it’s Rozay baby. You know it ain’t nothing but love. We haven’t spoken in a while. I need to see you.”

A bashful Lola in the background added: “Stop paying Flex! I just spoke to her too but I’m like, ah!”

Flex said: “Now listen. Foxy Brown in Brooklyn is a different — It’s a thing that I have never seen in a long time. And that combo, that Lola Brooke/Foxy combo is a different type of energy. You gotta see Lola’s face New York, she’s ready.”

“Oh man listen. This is a big Brooklyn thing,” Lola replied. “This is for Brooklyn. My heart in my stomach right now.”

Hot 97’s Winter Jam 2023 is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on December 30. In addition to Lola Brooke and Rick Ross (alongside Meek Mill), the bill will also feature Shenseea, Byron Messiah and Scar Lip, among others.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.

A Lola Brooke-Foxy Brown linkup in their hometown would be big, especially as the former recently paid homage to Fox Boogie by teaming up with Bryson Tiller and remaking her 1996 Blackstreet-assisted classic, “Get Me Home.”

The song, titled “You,” is not the only classic that Lola took on recently. In July, the pint-sized rapper dropped “Blind Em,” which samples Clipse‘s 2002 hit record, “Grindin.”

In a behind-the-scenes interview with Mass Appeal and Google Pixel, the HipHopDX rising star broke down her journey toward creating the song.

“The reason for me choosing ‘Grindin’ beat, it was because, how it made me feel as a kid,” she said. “I was freestyling it in the lunch room all the time [and] I finally got a chance to go in the booth with it. So it was like, ‘This is your shot girl,’ and I just took it.”

Lola made sure not to disappoint on “Blind Em’” and fell right into the production pocket with her bars and delivery.

“Pull my first billi’, top hundreds, it’s goin’ gold/ Never sold on my body that’s down below/ I done told ’em I been lovin’ on gangsters that never told/ I ain’t hip to those and I don’t mix with hoes (Grr),” she raps.
