We’ve got some good news for fans of the Enola Holmes mystery movie series, the sequel Enola Holmes 3 is in development at Netflix! Sherlock’s crime-solving sister Enola will be back in action, played by returning star Millie Bobby Brown, who started her career at Netflix starring in the hit series Stranger Things.
Head of Netflix Film, Scott Stuber, recently attended the grand reopening of the American Cinematheque at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood, and he revealed the news about Enola Holmes 3 to Collider, and also talked up Millie Bobby Brown, saying:
“You know, she’s such a great homegrown star for us. I mean, obviously, Stranger Things is huge for us in that, and watching her grow as an actress. We have a film called Damsel with her in the spring, which I’m really excited about, [from] Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Then, getting that character right. The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic. Obviously, Warner Bros. did an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting. So, we’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration. I’d like to do another one.”
There are plenty of great stories to tell and mysteries to solve within the Holmes world, so it will be exciting to see where this next film will lead. Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2 are available to stream now on Netflix.
