Kodak Black has reportedly been arrested in South Florida. According to WSVN, the rapper was taken into police custody on Wednesday.

More Details Regarding Kodak Black’s Most Recent Arrest & Charges
According to the outlet, the artist, whose government name is Bill Kapri, was arrested in Plantation, Florida. The 26-year-old has been charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with physical evidence.
WSVN adds that he is expected to appear before a judge on Thursday afternoon.
XXL reports that Kodak Black has been booked into Broward County Sheriff’s Office, and his bond status is labeled “HG.” According to law directory website Avvo, the designation means that the rapper’s bail will be determined upon a bond hearing.
XXL adds that an “improper stop/stand/park” charge is also among Black’s criminal complaints. The outlet reports that the rapper’s arrest occurred during a traffic stop and he allegedly swallowed “a mouth full of cocaine.”
According to XXL, Kodaks’s Bentley vehicle was parked with its tail lights on and blocking a road. When the officer approached the vehicle, the rapper’s window was halfway down and he was allegedly asleep.
The officer reportedly observed the smell of “burnt weed” and noticed a cup of alcohol. When the official went to run the rapper’s driver’s license information, it was then they noticed white power “falling from the rapper.” The officer then observed the powder in the 26-year-old’s mouth.

A Brief Look At The Rapper’s History With The Law
According to WSVN, the 26-year-old’s most recent arrest occurred in February 2022 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Florida Highway Patrol pulled over the rapper for driving with excessive window tints.
During the traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana and searched his vehicle. Then, they reportedly found a bag of oxycodone pills and $75,000 in cash, per XXL.
Additionally, officers discovered that the rapper’s vehicle tag and driver’s license expired.
The rapper was reportedly released from the jail on a $75,000 bond the following day. However, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, filed a motion to dismiss the arrest, accusing authorities of misconduct and bias against Kodak Black, per XXL.
Five months later, Kodak Black would address the arrest, calling it an “assassination” of his character.

“As a black man in America, I deserve my freedom, especially with everything I do for my community I should be getting love, respect, and support from the authorities! To move freely, not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows,” the “Super Gremlin” rapper wrote in now-deleted tweets.
We must note that the rapper also made headlines in 2020 after former President Trump commuted his three-year federal prison sentence. Instead of the time ordered, Kodak Black served about half of his sentence, per NBC Miami.
