Sasuke Uchiha getting the Rinnegan, a big important eye in Naruto’s world shows how special he is to their story. The Rinnegan is the strongest of three big eyes and only appears in people who impact the Naruto world a lot.
The Rinnegan’s story starts with Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of Six Paths. In the beginning, Hagoromo’s mother Kaguya Otsutsuki had this eye. Then it was passed down to her son and then to his sons. Indra Otsutsuki, who is Hagoromo’s son, set up the Uchiha clan and gave his abilities to see clearly to future generations.
To wake the Rinnegan, you need to mix both of Hagoromo’s sons’ chakra. This can only happen if they come back as new people or change how their power works. Madara Uchiha was the first to wake it up by joining Indra’s and Asura’s power. Just like that, in the Fourth Great Ninja War Sasuke who is Indra’s new incarnation got half of Hagoromo’s chakra. This caused his left Sharingan to change into Rinnegan.
Sasuke’s Rinnegan explained
The Rinnegan bestows unparalleled powers. Sasuke gained access to the Six Paths abilities: The path of Naraka is for calling forth the King of Hell, Deva Path lets you guide attraction and repulsion, and Animal Path helps in summoning animals. Asura Way can make weapons using body power while Preta Path allows it to take charge from chakra. Lastly, the Human way gives chances at getting souls taken out by force. It also allows them to jump into water without checking The Seventh Path, also called the Outer Path as it controls life and death. This lets Sasuke bring back people who have passed away.
Sasuke’s Rinnegan is special because it has six tomoe. This shows that he can see very well compared to others. He uses Amenotejikara, fast changing the places of things within a certain distance. With time, he got good at this skill and started to trade things with himself. Moreover, Sasuke can make doorways to other worlds. This is a big use of energy called chakra that he learned after some time they were introduced to the first series in comic books or movies.
However, in the sequel, Boruto: In Naruto Next Generations, Boruto hurts Sasuke’s Rinnegan. This makes it uncertain if he will be able to use it again in the future. Now, Sasuke doesn’t have a strong eye. This could change how he fights in the future.
Sasuke Uchiha’s trip with the Rinnegan shows how big and adaptable its power can be. Even though he lost, his past actions and special skills are still a big part of Naruto’s history.
