Moakler, who shares two children with Barker, son Landon,20, and daughter Alabama,18, expressed her concerns about feeling overshadowed by Barker’s new relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. Despite the challenges, Moakler emphasized that her children’s happiness is her top priority. The former model revealed that she felt alienated when Barker and Kardashian started dating, as she believed they were trying to outshine her as parents. She mentioned that Barker always wanted to be the “super dad” and constantly emphasized his role as the best parent.
Moakler acknowledged his financial advantage and the glamorous lifestyle he could provide for their children, contrasting it with her more modest circumstances. She also expressed concerns about her children getting caught up in the glitz and fame of the Kardashian family: “And I think they got caught up in that, which young kids would do. They’re buying them Prada, and they’re buying them gifts, and they’re going to these events, and they’re meeting Kanye and, you know, all this big stuff.”

“I can’t give them that. I don’t have that. I don’t have access to that. I don’t have the money to do that. I can’t buy you guys Prada every other week and stuff. I don’t. I can’t do it. My house isn’t a mansion like Travis’. I don’t have a movie theater. I don’t have golf carts for you kids to drive,”
Despite her challenges, Moakler clarified that her children’s happiness is paramount. She acknowledged that she is content as long as the Kardashians treat her kids well. Moakler emphasized her role as a loving and supportive mother, assuring her children that she will always be there for them unconditionally. She expressed her willingness to wait until they are ready to reconnect with her, highlighting her dedication to their well-being.
According to PEOPLE, a source close to the couple said they don’t “pay attention to what Shanna’s doing” and “They’re so happy in life right now.”
