RHOBH alum Taylor Armstrong weighed in on Kyle Richards’ shocking separation from husband Mauricio Umansky.
On Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Taylor Armstrong opened up about her longtime pals Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s recent separation.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star gushed over the estranged couple, who Taylor has known for well over a decade.
“You know how much I love Kyle, and I want Kyle to be happy,” Taylor said of her former RHOBH co-star. “I love them both so much, and I know that they’re always going to love each other. I want everyone to be happy. I’m so neutral on that whole issue.”
Taylor and Kyle built a friendship during the first three seasons of RHOBH, in which both women starred.
After stepping away from Bravo for the last nine years and moving to Orange County, Taylor returned to the fold by starring in season 2 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. In 2022, Taylor joined the season 17 cast of RHOC as a “friend of” the Housewives.
AllAboutTRH has previously reported that Kyle and Mauricio, who married in January 1996, separated earlier this year after 27 years of marriage.
The RHOBH couple admitted to having a “challenging” year in a joint Instagram statement released in July 2023.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” the joint statement read. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”
The statement continued, “There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
During a recent Amazon Live, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted that things between her and Mauricio have been rough.
“That’s a very loaded question. This has been very hard to do [because] it’s playing out with so many people having eyes on us and being in the public eye,” Kyle told fans.
“Obviously, we care about each other a lot. You know, here we are on vacation,” Kyle added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is reportedly returning to Bravo for season 13 in late 2023. Some reports suggest season 13 will premiere on November 1.
