Joe Giudice addressed his deportation, shared an update with Rosie Pierri, Kathy Wakile and Richie Wakile, and discussed Melissa and Joe Gorga’s alleged involvement in the FBI’s case against Giudice.
In 2014, Giudice and his then-wife Teresa pleaded guilty to financial fraud charges, before the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple were eventually sentenced to prison. After Joe served time, he was deported back to Italy, where he lived the first year of his life.
In an interview for the “Behind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef” podcast, Joe alluded to his deportation and blamed the RHONJ for it.
“I probably wouldn’t have ended up here in the Bahamas if I never was on the show. That’s for sure. Nobody would have known about me because I had everything I had way before I got on that show … They kind of exposed me and I guess the Feds took interest in what was going on. And I, you know, didn’t have citizenship, which was my main mistake.”
He added, “A part of me regrets [being on the show]. I mean another part doesn’t … It is what it is.”
Joe then revealed he’s now in contact with Rosie, Kathy and Richie – after their years-long feud.
“As a matter of fact, they just called me. I just spoke to Rosie a couple days ago … She was down in Florida with Richie, and I actually saw Kathy, and you know, she came out and said hello as well … I am not gonna [not] talk to them over a show. I mean, come on.”
He went on to say, “They called me on the FaceTime, you know. So they were in Florida because Richie’s got a place there in Florida, I think Fort Lauderdale, and they just called to say hello, whatever. And Rosie was saying hello. I mean I have got nothing not against Rosie. I think Rosie was always fun. I mean, we always got along. We never fought or anything.”
Joe said the former in-laws are “talking about” coming to the Bahamas to visit him. “If they come, I’ll have a drink with them and hang out,” he shared.
As for Teresa, however, Joe is doubtful she’ll reconcile with them.
“I mean, she’s pretty much done with all that, I guess,” he said. “When I got out and I was in Italy, Richie did reach out to me and Rosie and everybody didn’t wanna say hello to me while I was there because they happened to be there.”
When asked if Teresa is really ‘done’ with her brother Joe Gorga, Giudice answered, “It could be … He has said some pretty nasty things. And to be honest with you, if he was my brother, I don’t know if I would wanna talk to him either … You know, he’s talking about his sister. So I mean, why would you even talking about a dog or anything like that? I mean, the things that he says is a little bizarre.”
Addressing the Gorga’s claim they put food on his kids’ table by filming for a spinoff while Teresa was in prison, Giudice expressed, “I wouldn’t have been able to feed the kids? Oh my God, why don’t you tell them that they ought to thank me again because they got paid again … So if it wasn’t for the spin off, they wouldn’t have got paid. They actually eat off, they always eat off my back. They’re still eating off my back … They like the money, right? They like the fame.”
He suggested the Gorgas were involved in the FBI’s case against Giudice. “When they came on the show, they were very good friends with my ex-partner’s attorneys, which went to the feds, which I think Melissa and Joe were involved, because I know for a fact from an ex-FBI guy that told me … yes, he was behind the scenes with my ex partner … that went to the Feds to feed them all this information. Yeah, you know, I might have, you know, did a couple of things, cheated on some things you know on my tax returns. Who didn’t?”
He continued, “The only thing that my accountant didn’t do was file my personal tax returns. He filed my business tax returns. He didn’t file my personal tax returns for whatever reason. And that was the reason why they got into it, started looking into everything.”
Giudice alluded to the Gorgas’ party, where the attorneys were allegedly in attendance. “Why would they invite those attorneys to their party which, oh you know, by the end of the night they were thrown out. There is a scene where the one attorney is there and gets thrown out of the party. That’s her. She was actually my ex-partner’s attorney that were going to the feds and working with my ex partner. So, I mean, why would they have these people there? Why would they even be there?” he asked.
When it comes to his career, Giudice revealed he is now “basically a VP of a company. I run everything day to day basis over there, and that’s it. You know, just do my thing, do what I know best.” He later added that the company is related to construction.
