An Arizona woman has been arrested and accused of attempting to kill her U.S. Air Force husband by poisoning his coffee. The woman, identified as Melody Felicano Johnson, is now waking up behind bars as she faces serious charges while footage recorded by her significant other, Roby Johnson, has now surfaced, of what he claims shows bleach inside his coffee maker.
Roby, who is still active in the Air Force, told law enforcement officers how he began to realize that his coffee had a different taste. It didn’t take long for him to set up cameras to find out whether his coffee machine had been tampered with. According to reports, he purchased “a pool” of chemical testing strips and the results came back positive for extremely high levels of chlorine.

“He stated she knew that he would prep his coffee pot to be ready at night so that in the morning he just needed to turn it on to make his coffee,” documents filed by one of the officers investigating the case wrote. “At that time he stopped drinking the coffee but continued to pretend to drink it as he did not want to make a report of this while in Germany.”
When they returned to Tucson, he went to the police to submit the evidence but cops apparently didn’t find the video clear enough to look into it. That’s when Roby bought even more cameras, according to Law & Crime, and this time, he had footage of Melody coming from the laundry room and heading straight to the coffee maker. The arrest of Melody Johnson serves as a reminder that even within seemingly happy marriages, darkness can lurk beneath the surface.
As the investigation unfolds, it will be interesting to see what other details emerge about Melody Johnson’s alleged motive for poisoning her husband’s coffee.
