RHONJ star Margaret Josephs addresses the rumors about her friendship fallout with BFF Jackie Goldschneider while filming season 14.
Season 14 of RHONJ will bring a shift in friendships and alliances, most noticeably in Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs‘ relationship.
In September, AllAboutTRH was the first to EXCLUSIVELY reveal that Margaret and Jackie were “fighting” over how Jackie got her book deal for debut publication, The Weight of Beautiful, which was released on September 26.
At Dolores Catania’s charity baseball game on August 30, Jackie was spotted getting into a “heated discussion” with Margaret’s husband, Joe Benigno. Jackie and Margaret also did NOT interact at all during the charity baseball game.
“It’s about Jackie’s book,” All About the Real Housewives podcast host Roxanne Bahri revealed in September. “I think Margaret insinuated she got Jackie the book deal, but then Jackie didn’t want anyone to read it, and I think she allowed Jenn Fessler to read it, and Margaret was like, ‘Why wouldn’t you let me read it?’”
“And then it’s like the book deal thing, where it was like, ‘You know, you didn’t get me a book deal. Don’t take credit for that.’ That’s really what it is. That’s what she’s fighting with Margaret about,” Roxanne continued.
Previously, Margaret and Jackie both admitted that their friendship is “not the same” as it was before.
“Oh, I mean, I don’t wanna ruin this season, but I’m going through something with Margaret,” Jackie said on Watch What Happens Live last month.
As for Marge, she told Us Weekly on Monday, September 25: “I do love Jackie, and her book just came out. It’s powerful. I’m grateful she says so many amazing things about me in the book, and we are bonded, and we have a bond. For whatever reason, it is not the same right now, but I’m sure it will be.”
Now, Margaret is opening up further about her friendship woes with Jackie as they wrap filming for season 14 of RHONJ at the end of the month.
The U.S. Sun asked Margaret how she feels about Jackie switching sides and becoming friends with Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin while filming season 14 of RHONJ.
Margaret said: “I don’t know if there’s much as sides as just, like, her and I aren’t as close as we used to be.”
When it comes to the rumors that Jackie’s book deal caused a rift in her friendship with Margaret, the 56-year-old says that is not the cast at all.
“I’ve already had my own book, and so there’s no jealousy there. I only wanted really good things for her,” she said. “I think we were always close. I think that we will always have that love for each other, but I think right now we just have to see where it goes.”
