Dot.’s performance as an actor-artiste has gained widespread acclaim, making her one of the standout debuts of the year.
Capitalizing on her newfound success, Aditi Saigal has re-released her fan favorite YouTube songs in an album titled “Practice Rooms,” which consists of 10 tracks. The album, released on December 20, 2023, shows Dot.’s raw performances from her earlier years as an artist.
These songs were recorded with just a piano and an old phone in the practice rooms of the University of Bangor in Wales. Moreover, the tracks, including now-popular songs like “Asymmetrical,” which is also part of The Archies album, and “Lillian,” were composed over the last seven years.

Reacting to the album release, Dot.’s co-stars from The Archies, Vedang Raina, and Mihir Ahuja expressed their admiration with red heart emojis and enthusiastic comments. The release of ”Practice Rooms” is a proof of Dot.’s multi-faceted talent, encompassing singing, composing, and songwriting.
In her post, Aditi Saigal stated that the songs were originally written during her college days in Wales. The lyrical content draws inspiration from the picturesque Welsh countryside. It is also inspired by the charm of its people and the nuances of college life, heartbreak, and friendship.
However, Aditi expressed her initial hesitation to re-record the songs in a professional studio environment. She explained that she fears that the songs will lose the unique charm that defined their original versions. Instead, she chose to release them as “‘Practice Rooms,” maintaining the authenticity and essence of the music from her past.
Dot. described the album as a ‘thank you’ gesture—a love letter to the memories of the past. She dedicated it to the people who have been with her on this musical journey. She also mentioned thanks to the pianos that accompanied her in those practice rooms.
