RHOC star Tamra Judge reveals that Shannon Beador got “mad” at her over her initial support of Alexis Bellino and John Janssen’s relationship.
Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador’s friendship is on rocky ground once again despite them repairing their friendship during season 17 of RHOC.
The RHOC co-stars and longtime friends are currently going through “a little tiff” thanks to Alexis Bellino’s new romance with Shannon’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen.
Shannon and John split in late 2022 after three and a half years of dating. The break-up came just days after Shannon wrapped filming for season 17 of RHOC, as John didn’t want to dump Shannon on camera. The two initially remained friends post-breakup; however, that all changed when John began dating RHOC alum Alexis Bellino.
Now, Tamra reveals how Alexis and John’s relationship has affected her friendship with Shannon.
The RHOC star shared where her friendship with Shannon currently stands. On the December 19 episode of her Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp, Tamra revealed that her friendship with Shannon is currently under construction.
“It’s because I liked one of [Alexis’] pictures,” Tamra said about why she and Shannon are not in a good place right now.
Tamra explained that when Alexis denied rumors she was dating John, Tamra reacted by commenting with a clapping hands emoji, which upset Shannon.
“[Shannon] got mad at me because… I put clapping hands under ‘Don’t believe rumors…’” Tamra added. “[At that time] I did not think, for one second, [Alexis and John] were dating.”
The mom of four admits that once she found that John and Alexis were, in fact, dating, she changed her feelings about their relationship.
“But I am kind of feeling really bad for Shannon…” she admitted. “If Eddie and I split up and this was Alexis and him, or him and [Teddi Mellencamp]… Having to see it, it’s difficult.”
Despite the hiccup in their friendship, Tamra believes that they will ultimately work through their issues and be BFFs once again.
“We’ve had ups and downs, as you’ve seen,” she added. “We got into a little tiff.”
In December 2023, Shannon opened up to E! News that John’s relationship with Alexis is especially hurtful because of the lawsuit Alexis’ ex-husband, Jim Bellino, filed against her in 2018.
“John is very well aware of a lawsuit that I was involved in with Jim Bellino,” the 59-year-old RHOC star said. “Alexis was involved in the lawsuit. I was financially and emotionally devastated for years. I won, but it devastated me financially…John’s aware of that.”
Shannon also questioned why John would start a relationship with another reality star, considering John’s claims he hates being in the public eye.
According to Shannon, John never enjoyed being “in the public eye, and 1704723112 he’s thrust himself more into the public eye at this point. So I’m quite confused about that.”
Despite John and Alexis only dating for less than two months, the Orange County businessman already gave the former RHOC star a promise ring for Christmas. They two have also already said, ‘I love you’ to each other.
The Bravoverse is just as confused as Shannon by Alexis and John’s relationship. Many fans wonder how real their romance is and wonder if it’s all a ploy to make Alexis relevant again and get her spot back on RHOC.
If Alexis did return to RHOC for season 18, it would cause plenty of drama. We all know Andy Cohen is shady enough to stir the pot by throwing Alexis into the mix for season 18 because it would create off-the-charts ratings.
Alexis previously starred on RHOC from seasons 5 through 8. The 47-year-old has made it known she’s open to returning to RHOC but denies she’s signed on for season 18 – yet. Sources insist that Alexis will be a part of the RHOC season 18 cast.
The former Bravoleb is currently friends with Heather Dubrow and Emily Simpson. She’s also on good terms with Tamra. So place your bets on whether or not Alexis will join the season 18 cast of the Real Housewives of Orange County.
Bravo has yet to announce any casting news about the season 18 cast beyond Taylor Armstrong’s departure from the franchise after one season.
Filming for season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County is expected to begin in January or February 2024.
RHOC will return for season 18 in mid-to-late 2024.
