Eric Powell (The Goon, Four Gathered on Christmas Eve) and comedian and actor Lucky Yates (Archer, Good Eats, Exploding Kittens) have combined their twisted comedic talents in a new comic miniseries, Lester of the Lesser Gods! Originally created as an unproduced animated short by Powell a decade ago, Lester has been reborn with award-winning artist Gideon Kendall (MegaGhost, Marley’s Ghost) illustrating and lettering the series. Lester of the Lesser Gods #1 will also feature a special variant cover illustrated by Powell.

Lester, the LARPing bastard son of Odin, wanders the post-apocalyptic wasteland after thwarting Satan’s attempt to bring about the end of days. But can this hero of the downtrodden survive the battle arena of Will Frye the Technomancer Guy?

Lester of the Lesser Gods #1 (of 3) finds his way into comic shops on May 22, 2024. Pre-order now for $3.99 at your local comic shop.

Praise for Eric Powell:

“The Goon is one of my favorite comics, and Powell is on the top of my list of best artist/writers out working today.”—Steve Niles

“[The Goon] is sweet when it needs to be, warm and touching when it wants to be, and brutal and gruesome when it has to be.”—Bloody Disgusting

“Mixing the genre expectations of noir with an endearingly amoral lead, The Goon is pure entertainment.”—Publisher’s Weekly

“Four Gathered on Christmas Eve is a hauntingly adorable love letter to the yuletide season, ghost stories, and those we hold close to ourselves – enemies and friends alike.”—Fanbase Press

“Everyone involved in Four Gathered on Christmas Eve not only brings their A game, they are all clearly happy to be involved. Each contribution feels like it was brought to life with enthusiasm.”—Multiversity Comics
