Searchlight’s All of Us Strangers scored three prizes at the 15th Annual Dorian Awards, handed out by GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics. Andrew Haigh’s supernatural drama starring Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal won film of the year, LGBTQ film of the year and LGBTQ screenplay of the year.

“Twelve years ago, Andrew Haigh’s fresh and observant queer romance Weekend ruled our Dorians as well,” said GALECA President Walt Hickey in a statement. “So the fact that Strangers obviously touched many of our members’ hearts as well counts as sort of a sweet homecoming to our organization.”

Warner Bros.’ Barbie won a pair of awards, one for best director (Greta Gerwig) and another for best film music. Netflix’s May December scored a best screenplay win for Samy Burch as well as best supporting performance for Charles Melton. Neon’s Anatomy of a Fall won two awards for best non-English film and non-English LGBTQ film, while Magnolia’s Kokomo City picked up two documentary prizes. Searchlight’s Poor Things also garnered a pair of honors for the inaugural best genre film category and best visually striking film.

Other individual honors went to Lily Gladstone for best lead performance in Apple’s Killers of the Flower Moon; Rustin and The Color Purple star Colman Domingo, who won LGBTQIA+ film trailblazer “for creating art that inspires empathy, truth and equity;” May December director Todd Haynes, who won the Wilde Artist Award for being “a truly groundbreaking force in entertainment;” and The Bear and Bottoms star Ayo Edebiri, who won the We’re Wilde About You! Rising Star Award.

Nyad and True Detective: Night Country star Jodie Foster was also selected as the Dorians’ Timeless Star Award, celebrating “an exemplary career marked by character, wisdom and wit.”
