When the hit and run victim from one of Tess’ (Dolly Lewis) former cases awakes from a coma, Sunny (Agam Darshi) encourages Tess to track down new leads even though she’s no longer on the force. Tess’ ex-partner Jake Campbell (Daniel Gillies) inherits Tess’ case files along with a new partner, Leo Li (Tony Giroux), who is quick to dismiss the case as a dead end. As Tess makes progress, she discovers the incident is connected to a notorious unsolved murder. Meanwhile, Tess’ best friend Matt (Jarod Joseph) encourages Tess to open up
