Kyle Richards opens up about where her friendship with Lisa Rinna stands and if she thinks the former RHOBH star would ever return to the fold.
During a recent Amazon Live, the 55-year-old mom of four responded to a question about whether or not the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was missing a piece of the puzzle following Lisa Rinna‘s exit from the series.
“When was the last time you spoke to Lisa Rinna and can you see her ever coming back to RHOBH?” a fan asked.
“I spoke to her not that [long of a] while ago via text saying, ‘When are we going to get together?’” Kyle Richards replied. “We were trying to make a plan with Erika [Jayne]. [Lisa’s] been traveling a lot because of her new modeling career, which I think is super cool and inspiring to have this new career, especially at this point in her life.”
While Kyle hasn’t been able to connect with Lisa Rinna recently, her daughters did run into the former soap star in Beverly Hills on March 18.
“And then last night we were at dinner and my girls said ‘Oh, Lisa Rinna just walked past.’ And I was like ‘Oh!’ because we always go to the same places,” Kyle revealed.
The Bravolebrity also revealed that she would see Rinna returning to RHOBH and would happily star alongside her again.
“Sure, sure I can [see her coming back someday]. She was great on the show. I know there’s some things that she said or did that were very polarizing, people either hate it or love it, but she was great on the show,” Kyle said.
However, it seems that Kyle didn’t get Rinna’s recent memo that she plans to NEVER return to Real Housewives ever again.
“No. Never. No, I wouldn’t,” Lisa Rinna said while appearing on the Jennifer Hudson Show in March. “But listen, I [am] grateful for the experience. I think that it has made me a better actor because I’m acting again.”
She continued, “I have a lot to pull from after working for eight years on that show. You know, different psychologies of different women. I never would have come across that if I hadn’t done that show. I am grateful for that show. I’m the person I am today because of it, but I’ll never go back. Did it, done it, saw the movie.”
Lisa Rinna joined RHOBH in season 5 and starred as a full-time cast member on the show until her departure following season 12. After going head-to-head with Kathy Hilton throughout season 12 and at the reunion over drama in Aspen, Rinna emailed her resignation to Bravo and Andy in September 2023.
Casting prep for season 14 of RHOBH is currently underway as production reportedly begins in April.
It’s unknown if any RHOBH cast members have been offered a contract for season 14 yet. However, Kathy Hilton is rumored to be returning as a friend following her surprise appearance at the RHOBH season 13 reunion. While no newbies have been confirmed yet, rumors are swirling that RHOBH alum Eileen Davidson’s name is being tossed around as a possible casting choice.
Denise Richards has also expressed interest in returning for season 14 in a full-time capacity.
Season 13 of RHOBH starred Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, Crystal Minkoff, and Annemarie Wiley. As reported, Annemarie was fired following the RHOBH season 13 reunion.
Only time will tell if Bravo changes or shakes up the RHOBH cast for season 14, but stay glued to AllAboutTRH for all the latest news.
RHOBH is expected to return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.
