Katie Maloney’s mom Teri clapped back after Lala Kent named her in a shady post about Katie. Teri claimed it “shocked” her, and she compared Lala’s actions to “hate” from fans.
Lala and Katie’s feud began when Katie denied her claim that they had an off-camera falling out after last season’s Vanderpump Rules reunion. Lala later wrote a post suggesting that Katie prefers her friends ‘miserable’ – but she apologized at the same time to Teri, saying she contemplated not posting because Lala loves her.
“I was very surprised and a little bit shocked to not only see what she said about Katie but to see that I was included in that comment,” said Teri in an interview with the I Take Bravo Very Seriously podcast, via @breakingtherulespod on Instagram.
“Because it was like she knew she was gonna say something very very hurtful, extremely out of line in my opinion, to the point that not only was it gonna hurt Katie, but it was gonna hurt me as well,” Teri went on. “And then she went ahead and posted it anyway. And I just, that’s just not the Lala I know, to do something like that.”
She then seemingly compared Lala’s comment to the “hate” from Pump Rules fans.
“There’s so much negativity and hateful things said to the cast, indirectly I mean, on social media. Just the hate is just unbearable sometimes. I try to get out of the comments section. You know, and for the cast to have to put up with that. Then when you have a really close friend, one of your best friends, do it very publicly as well, it was like … not the Lala I know.”
