Did Jax Taylor’s Bedroom Performance Contribute To Brittany Cartwright Split?

Brittany Cartwright is shedding light on intimate details regarding her ex-partner Jax Taylor’s bedroom struggles, a topic often shrouded in secrecy.

Her openness follows the unexpected announcement of their separation in February, adding insight into the former couple’s relationship dynamics.

Cartwright made it clear that their once passionate connection had dwindled significantly after she compared their sex life to an “old tumbleweed.” 

In the shocking revelation, the reality TV star did not hold back, admitting that their intimacy sharply declined over the past year, with the couple engaging in sexual activity only twice during that time frame.  Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of “The Valley,” Cartwright lamented the drastic shift from their early days of non-stop passion, stating,

“When Jax and I first met it was awesome. We were having sex all the time. 24/7. I mean, we didn’t miss a day. And then it has just changed dramatically. I’m talking, like, twice in the past year. You know the old Westerns when the tumbleweed rolls around? That’s our sex life. I am the old tumbleweed.”

However, it was not just Cartwright who shared her perspective. Taylor himself chimed in, acknowledging his role in the dwindling spark between them.  Per ET Online, Taylor admitted that the arrival of their son Cruz shifted their priorities, often leaving their marital intimacy on the back burner.

“I think it’s safe to say that the romantic spark is just not there right now,” he confessed. “I will take blame, yeah. I let that spark fizzle. It’s just not fair to either one of us. Especially it’s not fair to my wife. She deserves to have a man be loving to her.”

Cartwright’s candid revelations about her struggles with intimacy alongside her former partner helped to shed light on the underlying reasons for their breakup.

Her recent disclosure added credibility to her previous statements in February, where she denied rumors of Taylor’s alleged infidelity as the cause of their separation. In a heartfelt reflection on her life post-marriage, the TV personality emphasized that a third party did not trigger their split but because they lost their once-vibrant connection. 

“Jax did not cheat on me, but we got into a very bad fight, and I decided to pack up my stuff, and I’ve been staying in an Airbnb since January 24,” she emphatically stated. 

The catalyst for their clash? Cartwright’s innocent decision to spend an evening with her friend and co-star, Kristen Doute, inexplicably ignited Taylor’s fury. 

Recalling the fateful night, Cartwright confessed, “We just had a horrible fight and it was like a veil was lifted, and I noticed everything wrong. You know they always say a woman can hit her breaking point, and it’s hard to come back from that.”

Afterward, it was a downward spiral of toxicity and discord, with Cartwright lamenting that every aspect of their relationship became a reason to fight.

As Cartwright navigates the aftermath of her split with Taylor, it seems she is determined to provide viewers with an unfiltered perspective on the separation process. 

Cartwright was quick to dispel such notions by emphasizing that her decision to document the separation process was driven by a need for mental well-being rather than any ulterior motives. 

“I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because our life is definitely — we’ve shared so much of our life with you guys,” she expressed, acknowledging the weight of their public platform.

The actress further dispelled any notions of deceit, revealing the toll that the past year had taken on their marriage.

In her own words, “I know on my last podcast, I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times. Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
