Iggy Azalea made sure to mark Mother’s Day on Instagram as she shared snaps that included son Onyx this weekend. The Australian rapper gained over 55,000 likes in under an hour on Sunday as she shared a gallery of snapshots, opening with a gorgeous beach one as she posed in swimwear and spent quality time with her only child. Iggy, 33, shares Onyx with ex-boyfriend Playboi Carti, whom she has repeatedly slammed on social media as she alleges that he’s a bad father. This share, however, stayed drama-free as the “Fancy” hitmaker wished her fans a Happy Mother’s Day.

Cocking her head to the side as she rocked her waved blonde locks down, the Grammy nominee wrapped her arms tenderly around Onyx’s shoulders, with fans seeing her son looking trendy in a white tee and camo-print shorts.

Filling her gallery with throwbacks of precious moments she’d enjoyed with Onyx, Iggy also showed Onyx at a table and enjoying an arts and crafts session as his mother kept a watchful eye and leaned in to help. Fans were treated to video footage of the blonde’s 2020-born son, plus an adorable note he’d written for her as part of a gift box. “I LOVE YOU MOM,” Onyx had penned.
In a caption, Azalea wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day!”
Many replied to send the wish right back, with the post quickly catching a like from supermodel Emily Ratajkowski.

Kept Her Pregnancy Secret
Iggy joins the list of stars who chose not to reveal that they were expecting until after the birth. In June 2020, the star took to social media, writing:
“I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something, but it feels like the more time passes, the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.” Iggy continued that she wanted to “keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret,” adding: “I love him beyond words. By October of that year, Iggy had confirmed that she and rapper Playboi Carti had split.

Says He ‘Lost A Real One’
“You lost a real 1… People take loyalty for granted & that’s why I’d rather be alone. One thing I’ll never understand is how liars live with themselves,” the OnlyFans face bitterly wrote as she slammed her ex. Just hours later, Iggy returned to confirm: “What I [meant] last night was that I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship.”
