Kelly Clarkson revealed on her talk show that she used a weight loss medication as part of her body transformation while speaking with Whoopi Goldberg.

On Monday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the singer candidly discussed her experience with the weight loss drug. “I’ve lost a lot as well. Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too because my blood work got so bad,” she explained to Goldberg. Clarkson has denied using the popular weight loss drug Ozempic but she did not disclose the specific medication she had been taking. Her doctor wanted her to take the drug but she was already scared of the effects due to her thyroid problem,s.
‘My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic — it’s not — it’s something else, but it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesn’t do it right,’ she exclaimed. Clarkson said she didn’t realize how much weight she had gained until she started losing it. She noted that she was at her heaviest, 203 pounds.

“It’s funny because people assume, ‘Oh, she must have been miserable and depressed or whatever,’ and I was like, ‘No, I was not.’”
According to Page Six, Goldberg has also used the weight loss drug Mounjaro and agreed with Clarkson that their weight loss journeys were gradual. Although Clarkson did not disclose the amount of weight she lost, Extra TV reported she is reportedly down 60 pounds. The singer was previously accused of using Ozempic after posting a photo of her slimmer figure on social media in November. Still, she explained to People in January that she dropped weight because she had been considering her doctor’s advice. She also credited her success to a protein-rich diet.
“And 90% of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat — sorry, vegetarians in the world!” She also mentioned incorporating regular walks around Manhattan, infrared saunas, and cold plunges into her routine.
