This week’s retro trailer for director William Friedkin’s 1977 suspense thriller Sorcerer. Over the years I’ve run into a lot of people who have never seen this movie, including a lot of film buffs, so I’m sharing this trailer to spread the word to watch this movie!
This is a tense and gritty thriller that follows four desperate men from different corners of the world, each with a dark past, who find themselves in a remote South American village.
To escape their dire circumstances, they agree to transport a highly volatile cargo of nitroglycerin across treacherous terrain. As they navigate dangerous jungles they are also dealing with their own personal demons.
Sorcerer features a strong ensemble cast, including Roy Scheider as Jackie Scanlon (alias Juan Dominguez), Bruno Cremer as Victor Manzon (alias Serrano), Francisco Rabal as Nilo, and Amidou as Kassem (alias Martinez).
