Here’s the first trailer for an upcoming adventure comedy titled Bookworm, which sees Elijah Wood and Nell Fisher as a father and daughter who embark on a wild adventure.
The film comes with the tagline, “Adventure called her name… unfortunately dad answered.” This looks like it’ll be a fun movie that tells a charming heartfelt story.
The synopsis reads: “In the midst of a family crisis, a washed-up American illusionist (Wood) and his long-estranged precocious daughter (Fisher) venture into the New Zealand wilderness in order to find a mythical black panther known as the Canterbury Panther.
The film was directed by Ant Timpson and it also stars Morgana O’Reilly, Michael Smiley, and Vanessa Stacey.
Rialto Distr. will release Bookworm in New Zealand cinemas starting August 8th, 2024. There’s no US release date yet.
