A heartbreaking and an upsetting incident has left a community in complete shock and mourning. A man has been arrested after allegedly shooting at passing vehicles, resulting in the death of a father of four.
The incident occurred Monday on State Street in San Jacinto, Southern California, during the early morning hours. At approximately 6:30 a.m., chaos erupted when authorities received reports of a man, later identified as Julio Cesar Rodarte, randomly firing shots at passing cars. Surveillance footage obtained by Eyewitness News captured the horrifying moments when Rodarte, armed with a semiautomatic weapon, unleashed a barrage of bullets onto a busy street. In the video, Rodarte can be seen firing off an entire magazine, discarding it, and reloading with chilling ease.
Witnesses described the scene as terrifying, with Rodarte appearing remorseless as he continued to shoot at vehicles from different angles. Shockingly, he even discarded his shoes and began undressing while continuing his spree of violence. Law enforcement agencies swiftly responded to the reports and apprehended Rodarte, although the exact location of his arrest remains undisclosed. The 39-year-old suspect was taken into custody and subsequently booked on one count of murder and ten counts of attempted murder.
At this time, the motive behind Rodarte’s actions remains unknown, leaving investigators and the community perplexed and searching for answers.
