Oop! Ariana Grande is defending her relationship with her boyfriend, actor Ethan Slater, and slamming “bullsh*t tabloids” trying to “destroy” her.

While gracing the latest cover of Vanity Fair, Ariana Grande is defending her man Ethan Slater and firing back at tabloids and others slamming their relationship. In her new cover story, 31-year-old Grande said, “The most disappointing part was to see so many people believe the worst version of [our relationship]. That was definitely a tough ride.”
Grande refused to address specific allegations but did say, “There couldn’t be a less accurate depiction of a human being than the one that the tabloids spread about him. No one on this earth tries harder or spreads themselves thinner to be there for the people that he loves and cares about.”

Ariana Grande continued to speak on her relationship with Ethan Slater, admitting, “There is no one on this earth with a better heart. And that is something that no bullsh*t tabloid can rewrite in real life.” She also made it clear that she is not the “evil diva” that critics have made her out to be.
Ariana Grande insisted that the media’s coverage of her relationship with boyfriend Ethan Slater has taken a huge toll on her. She said, “The back-and-forth throughout the course of my career has been really hard to navigate mentally.” She added that the media has been constantly “trying to destroy” ever since she was a teenager.

She explained, “Honestly, it’s taken me a lot of hard work to be able to last this long and to heal certain parts of my relationship to fame and to what I do because of these tabloids that have been trying to destroy me since I was 19 years old.”
She added, “But you know what? I’m 31 years old and I’m not a perfect person, but I am definitely deeply good, and I’m proud of who I’m becoming. I will never let disreputable evil tabloids ruin my life or my perception of what is real and good.”

As a refresher, Ariana Grande and her ‘Wicked‘ co-star boyfriend Ethan Slater went public last July and their relationship immediately went under scrutiny as Grande was married to her husband, Dalton Gomez, and Slater was married to his wife Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a 2-year-old son and claims she was “completely blindsided” by their relationship.
Subsequently, each married couple soon divorced: Grande filed for divorce with her husband and Slater filed for divorce from his wife. While both actors maintain their claims that they separated from their partners before dating and going public, some media outlets have reported that Ethan Slater left his wife and child for his ‘Wicked‘ co-star and new girlfriend Ariana Grande.
