Chucky fans are still surprised and upset that the series was canceled by USA and Syfy after three season, and they quickly launched the #SaveChucky campaign in an effort to save the series and help ensure it gets picked up by another network or streaming service.
That campaign is still going strong, and creator Don Mancini is continuing to ease the minds of fans. The moment the series was canceled, he made it clear that Chucky will be back, and now he’s doubling down on that promise.
Mancini recently shared the following comment on X: “The CHUCKY franchise has always prioritized story continuity, across different media, for decades. You WILL see your favorites again.”
A horror franchise like this will never die. It’s one of those properties that will always find life because there’s a huge fan base that enjoys these crazy characters.
Several months ago Mancini did say, “I’m also actually in the early stages of working on a new Chucky movie.” So, we know that at least another film is coming.
We have no idea what is in store for the future, but the fans are eager and excited to find out.
